Webmath

One of our math teachers shared the Webmath site with me recently. This site contains an interface that allows students in all areas of mathematics (general, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus) to enter in a particular math problem and receive the correct answer. While some may think that all kids will do with this site is have it do their homework, the feature that makes this so useful is its explanation of the problem’s solution. Yes, students could actually have the site complete their evening’s homework, but it would probably be quicker to do it without the assistance of this site. Where this site can help is in those instances where a student doesn’t understand how the answer was arrived at. A number of our teachers have commented on the usefulness of this unique site. If a problem really stumps you, you can ask a math expert for some help. Or you could always ask your teacher!
