NECC 2005
I spent some time tonight looking through the web site for the National Educational Computing Conference which will be taking place in Philadelphia June 27-30 this year.
The site is only just beginning to be filled with information, especially in the area of day-long and half-day workshops. There were a few that looked interesting. Once focused on constructivist classrooms and another focused on a set of online interactive tools developed by Intel. I went to the site to check them out, but you have to register, and I didn’t have the time tonight. But they are free and definately worth checking out.
I am interested to see what hour-long sessions the conference has this year. These tend to have a bit more variation in quality than the workshops (which you have to pay extra for). I am definately going to the conference, but I do hope that the sessions are in-line with what I am most interested in. Last year they had a really great tool online that you could use to organize your schedule during the conference. I didn’t see that, but I am sure it will go live once the conference sessions are posted.
